The Michigan College Counseling Association comprises professional counselors employed at public and private four year institutions, and at community colleges.  MCCA provides leadership, support, and advocacy for legislative issues that affect professional counselors.  One recent leadership role is that of sponsoring the Concerned Community College Counselors.  This group focuses on resolving issues that affect the community college counseling role, and attempts to address them through a cohesive, collective process.
